The assault resulted in the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
